Headpiece For Fall Eq 2012

I started out cutting the fin pieces out of chipboard and hot gluing them to the base.

Then I painted the whole thing with black gesso
I had some iridescent tissue, I cut it to fit and used blue metallic paint to stick it on.

Finished the rest of the sections.

Then I started hotgluing the yarn to the base.
Had Alyssa model what I have finished so far. Will post the finished piece tomorrow.

So I'm thinking about making a batch of these for my booth/table at Fall Eq. Then if there's any left, maybe have a table with Inno at the Yule Bazaar...

Crochet hanger

I used size 10 crochet thread, and a size 8 steel hook.



Make a magic ring, ch 3 then 11 dc in ring, pull tight. (12)
ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around. (24)
ch 3, 2 dc in each dc around. (48)
*ch 8, sc in 6th st* around, sl st in bottom of first ch. (8 loops)
sl st up to middle of loop, ch 8, sc in each loop around, sl st in bottom of first ch. Do about 10 rows of that, about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way up the jar.
Sl st in first 3 st, then ch 3, and 5 dc in loop. * 6 dc in each loop around, sl st in top of ch 3.
Make a chain to hang it up and attach.
Fits a spaghetti sauce jar.
Insert candle, and light 'er up!
